Is it normal to be terrified of having a baby

I recently found out I was pregnant. My husband is excited and so Is my family but I’m not excited at all. I’ve even thought of aborting it but due to my personal beliefs I decided not to. I’m so scared to have a baby, what if I don’t love it ? Sometimes I’m even unsure I love my husband since me and him have had plenty of ups and downs that are to me not normal whatsoever.

I also feel like I’ve lost my identity now. I’m scared I won’t finish school. I’m scared what if I can’t provide a good life for my baby. I’m also bipolar and afraid of having to get off my meds and fall into an even greater depression I’m already in. Is all this normal ?? I’m so confused.

You’re over thinking this. Eat healthy. Poop the sucker out. Stick it on yo titty and sing it songs. Shit’ll buff out. People have babies all the time and in tougher situations ( not belittling yours ).

    • Hell yeah, only reason we're alive today is because cave people had babies in the wild 😎

That isn't a very nice way to talk about the members of IIN.

Agzactly. We're prepping her for REAL life. Gotta be hardy, gotta get out of the comfort zone, gotta rise to the call. And, gotta abstain from alcohol - not even a drop until after the baby is born. That's bcuz WE are being supportive. For example, in a few years, I'll coach her on teaching her toddler algebra by laying out pennies on a table. You can help her with something you're are good at.

All this supportive tribalism helps IIN hang together. Yes, the children of IIN are our future. Let's keep those little suckers smart and happy. 👍

Definitely normal. I have a very low pain threshold and that is one of the 4 reasons I have never wanted children.

I wish I had some good answers for you, OP, but all I can really say is that I feel for you, and wish you all the best. You're in my prayers! I think you have good, and reasonable reasons to be afraid, and I hope your family is willing to help whenever their help is needed.

Ask around about OBGYNs in your area. A good doctor can relieve your fears and make sure you and your baby are healthy.

I think you will get more detailed answers if you ask this on Reddit, I assume they have some pregnancy sub Reddit’s.

Normal for every female expecting a child.

That's not true. I'd say it's probably mostly first time mothers.
