I think the first two deserve more credit than they get. They're a lot cleverer than they look and they're absolutely dripping with satire. You've made me want to rewatch them both now. It's been a few years!
If its been a few years you probably did not see them in HD =) They both look awesome in 1080p =)
Especially considering they were both made in the late 80's. The effects were very ahead of their time. They originally could not make Robocop 2 because it "was not technically possible to produce the effects required" so after a massive rewrite they filmed the version we now see. The original script is amazing though, especially the Cain and ED-209 fight that was supposed to take place within the ending rampage of Cain. I would have loved to see that!
Is it normal to be terrified of "Cain" from Robocop 2?
