Is it normal to be terrified of birds!?

yes its noraml they can be scary to some people its a tyep of phobia that your friend may have

when i was little my mom sent me to bring the eggs from underneath the chicken(i meant the nightmare), i was so nerves, when i reached my hand under her, then she jumped on flapping her way to my poor face, i've never been near birds ever since.

Has she seen Alfred Hitchcock's horror movie "The Birds"? It will give you a lifelong phobia of birds.

I'm not afraid of birds except when they attack because they feel the need to protect their nest. But did you see the show Big Brother and one of the ladies was outside and a bird came into the yard. She really freaked out. I think it's the flapping of their wings.

LOL im kind of scared of birds!!! not to that extent but i don't like handling them. i can maybe hold a baby chicken or duck, but nothing with a lot of feathers like a sparrow or chicken. something about the layers of feathers creeps me out -.- i always hated feathers, even when i was little and my fear or birds and feathers was more extreme. i remember going to a feather-strewn park once and climbing onto my mom's pant-leg because i didn't want to step in them. LOL. i don't get it.. to this day i wouldn't be able to hold most birds, especially a seagull, sparrow (or anything of the sort, etc..

Birds are nothing to be scared of, lol. I love birds. Even if you ARE scared of birds its TOO weird to start running and screaming even where your one mile apart.

I thought I was the only one!! I am freaked out just by the thought of birds. I saw one go under my car the other day and I had to turn around and go back in the house. I've seen when birds attack. Lol I know what they can do.

lol i dont like parrots and cockatoos at all but as long as they r caged im cool to just stay out of reach of their creepy little toes. but im super creeped out by buzzards. when i was younger (like 12 or 13) i had some crzy fear that i was gonnna die because everywhere i went i felt that they showed up... lol but we were usually running around in the mangroves or tanning on fishing docks lol so it makes sense in hindsight but i still dont like em.... i think splash mountain messed me up psychologically. because still thats the scariest part of the ride is those two evil birds

Im afraid of them also, I think its the flapping of their wings or something. It just creeps me out. I can be a few feet from them though, just not touch them.
