I mean, deep down, I don't WANT to feel this way. Logically, I feel like we are all supposed to be equal. There's just this gut belief in my stomach that we are worth what we are able to contribute to society. I don't know where it came from but it has prevented me from forming relationships with others and I really wish that I could look past it all. But I can't/
I get it, that's why I asked where you learned it. Once you pinpoint when/what/why/who you started thinking like that, then you can change it. I think it's a core belief thing. At least you are questioning it though, right. That's a huge step in the right direction. Nobody wants to believe that they could be prejudice, that's why so many prejudice people start sentences with "I'm not prejudice, but..." or "I'm not racist, but..." Admitting to it is overcoming the biggest part of that challenge to change it. Good for you.
Is it normal to be superficial?
