  • I have to say that I can relate to this post, well up until the whole intimidating figure thing. Anyways, I'm filled with insecurities, but the way that I've always dealt with it was faking confidence. Fake it till you make it. In my experience I use to just look in the mirror and say positive things about myself, eventually I began to believe them. Thus, I acquired some sense of confidence. I don't mind talking to people personally, but I understand that it can be scary. Like I said, focus on the good aspects about yourself and just believe that you're actually a confident person. Let's be honest, you're probably decent looking, and you're already a hard worker so right there you two good aspects about yourself, now fill in the rest.

    • Yeah I can relate to it too. I've heard before that the best way to gain confidence is to fake it, walk tall and as if you have somewhere you need to be and eventually you'll start believing it. I'm always trying to self analyze and trying to find positive things about myself but for some reason as simple as it sounds i've not really considered just acting confident. Thanks i'll try this

      • Kingofcarrotflowers are you the OP? Cause honestly I see you around here and you are a chill dude. It kinda hurts to know that you're like this. You give really solid advice and seem like a true friend.

I know that confidence doesn't just fall from the sky, but faking it is how its worked for me. People aren't that difficult to talk to. And hey, I'm sure some lucky gal will walk your way, just talk to her when she does.
