  • What ^that person researched but to break it down in simpler terms.. This happens when your body is very tense and your muscles are no where near relaxing yet. When you fall asleep, the paralysis loosens you up, but as a reflex, you jolt because that looseness makes you feel like you're falling. Its very common.
