The attraction is normal. Fictional characters are written to be all around interesting. Their actions are based on a story arc and everything they do furthers the plot. A real person spends a lot of time working, sleeping, eating and sitting on the toilet.
It's the same appeal that porn has; The characters and their motivations are very obvious and one dimensional.
There's nothing inherently wrong with that as long as you understand it's fantasy. You can never compare a real person to a fictional character.
