I dont know if its normal, but I have the same promlem - Not to the point where I get scared in the shower, but I dont swim or go near the ocean for this reason.
Even if I see like a blue whale swimming in the deep abyssal ocean on the Discovery Channel, I get completely freaked out, and change the channel. Anyways, youre not alone.
