Thank you for being the only on-topic response. “Taken an interest in” is a good description of how I felt, I feel some people are misinterpreting that I was a “fan” of his. People have told me I shouldn’t care as they don’t perceive him to have been a good person but it’s not so much about him as a person but what he represented to me.
