Is it normal to be protective?

  • I hope he's an ex!!

I've been attacked a few times in my life by jealous women and a male friend / doorman always wrapped himself around me to protect me from any blows.

My sister married a coward and he pushed her in front of him when he was being threatened by a mugger!!

    • Yes he is an ex now but I really wish I broke up with him right then and there because having a coward for a bf sucks and I let that relationship last way too long. Omg! I really can't believe that your sister's husband did
that!! Please tell me she broke up with him!

      • Oh yes! He wasn't just a coward but a cheat too! We caught him with a gf while my sister was still breast feeding the youngest of their four kids. He then cleaned out all their bank accounts and put her into debt while she was on maternity leave. The house was even up for repossession!

She was with him 15 years in total - married for 9yrs!

        Personally, I couldn't stand him but ....

Isn't it awful to read on this site, kids who are wasting their time with abusers, bullies, cheats and liars? Someday they will be just like us and wonder, "Why did I waste so much time?"

        • Wow! What a terrible guy! At least she is not with him anymore. I couldn't agree more about the kids on this site wasting their time with abusers, cheaters, and liars. You are exactly right that one day they will realize it and wish they hadn't wasted the time. I put up with that crap for like 7 years but I'm so thankful that I see much clearer now. I'm 21 so it's not too late although I do wish I realized it sooner. Another good question is why can guys be such jerks? I can't get over your sisters ex husband! That is just so so horrible!

          • OMG! I must spend practically every weekend at the clubs listening to women sob their hearts out in the bathroom about what their husbands have done on them. I have heard it all hundreds of times and nothing surprises me any more! It's all based on them protecting their wages and pensions. Men close the box on any part of their history they're done with, and don't dwell on emotions the way women do! What my sister's ex did was fairly mild compared to some. It's worse when the women aren't married to the men and have no rights!

Don't ever underestimate the levels they can stoop to! You are still young but you will be a lot more cynical when you get to my age!
