And I'd also like to add that as much as the situation sucks...the fact that you'd allow your mother to give you that money put of her own pocket makes you as greedy as your aunt. Sounds like your mom got screwed in the deal too and now she's gonna lose even more money because you won't stop moaning about it. Pure greed.
