Is it normal to be pathologically obsessed?

i spend most of my time following the life of an anonymous person who minds their own business and lives a quiet and simple life, and work myself up into an angry, jealous rage, then use all my energy and every resource at my disposal to make angry, insulting commentaries about this person's every thought, word or action from the comfort of a cowardly distance.

is this normal?

So while said person is just like buying a newspaper from a news stand, your watching him from a safe distance of 15 meters, angrily muttering to yourself, "Your a loser, only losers buy newspapers! I fucking hate you! Only pussies read. I hope your fucking thoughts hear mine".

Or did I imagine this wrong.

This doesn't sound normal or healthy. Why did you choose this particular person? And why haven't you talked to them? I am just sorta curious. I guess a better question would be why would you do the things you described? It sounds dangerous and unhealthy to me.

Sounds eloquently written, perhaps you also keep a journal or diary recording or narrating this persons life?

Perhaps you should write a novel or make a film out of this, creepy one

U seem to not cope well with rejection, make a new friend, get involved in hobbies or stuff that distracts u, watch movies, exercise before you know it people will gravitate toward you and u won't need to feel So rejected. Also, don't be afraid or reject those new ppl either

You have NO idea how glad I am you got this LOL!

  • Are you talking about yourself or someone else?

The reason your post seems odd, is because most people:
    a) don't consciously think those type of negative things about themselves without at least interjecting a few positives, or
    b) who truly felt such things about themselves would never diagnosis themselves in that way (pathologically obsessed).

So, if you are actually the "anonymous person" in your post, then how do you know that the stranger who is stalking you is actually doing it for those reasons?

It's kind of funny reading this, but it's really not normal at all. You should really stop this. What reason do you have to follow this person around? What makes you so drawn to them anyway?

I think you should try and find more productive things to do, and try and distance yourself completely from this person. If they catch on that you've been following them, you could have a lawsuit against you.
