Is it normal to be overprotective over my step-dad?

So basically, I'm wondering if it's normal for me to be extremely overprotective of my stepdad.

To start out: I was a foster child, I grew up with more than 7 families and I never really got comfortable with any of them. I was 6 years old when my bio mother finally got custody of me and took me to my first and last forever home. I met my stepdad when I moved in with her. it's been a couple of years since then and I and my stepdad are extremely close now. He's not home often so that probably contributes to my bond with him.

I'm a teenager, almost adult and I get really jealous whenever my stepdad shows any affection or attention to anyone my age that isn't me. Even if they are younger (from a baby to 15 years old).

is it me just being paranoid or is there something wrong wit me?

    Relax. It’s ok to feel what you’re feeling. Just know that if you openly express it, you’ll get whiplash.
