There is nothing wrong with manners, these can be very strong among some American folk.
In my delightful country, there are people who do this profusely for no apparent reason other than they want to be part of social cliques that no other person would find attractive. You may have heard of charvers, anti-social personality types. I, however, do swear quite a bit. This is because "I got issues", people do take offence sometimes.
I, am not offended by afore-not-mentioned-in-your-original-post word, though I do not say you must conform to my standards of indecency.
I'm not American, but I know what you're saying. And yes I have heard of chavs/charvers LOL. Whenever I see them in pictures, I'm reminded of what Americans looked like in the early nineties with track-suits and scrunchies and bling... it's like a blast from the past in modern day Britain.
