the problem is all of those "save the wolves!" paraphernalia they've turned wolves into cute cuddly creatures and the fans of wolves often scoff at realistic issues an overabundance of wolves can create.
the common wolf is no longer an endangered species and in some areas it's again legal to hunt them, simply because they have too fucking many of them, to the point where other animals are starting to suffer from being hunted by wolves.
