Is it normal to be obsessed with someone?

I really like this boy who is my bestfriend... Long story (different poll). I literally cannot get him out of my mind and all i want to do is be with him. I feel like i am becoming very obsessed with him to the point where there is nothing else i think of but him. :| Also i feel like he is just so special that if i could only be with one person id want it to be him.. is this weird?

    soo normal but the more you keep it to yourself the more you become obsessed. I think you should tell him before you start regretting when you see him with someone else

      Yea but the thing is im in the closet and idk if he is gay or not so if i tell him i dont want to ruin our friendship :(
