Is it normal to be obsessed with english boys? *^_^*

Hi everyone! This is my first question here. A year ago I was visiting Britain, and was living in Cambridge for a month. So, I saw there many handsome boys and I just loved it how do they look, their manners/politeness. But what made me sad - even on disco or pub they don't make a first move, only stare.. So is it a shyness or kind of a rule now - that girls start talk first??
There are many tourists/students from other countries in summer, and they behave more active, but it wasn't interesting for me. Sometimes it was ridiculous, when random english guys were directly going to us watching right in the eyes and then..moved back! :-e
I have to say, that a problem is that I just can't start talking first, it's out of my courage..because I live in Russia and there is practically always man go first.. And I'm not a teenager, I was 21 at that time..
So my trip ended without getting any english man, but I really want not to miss the chance next time)) so I'd like to receive some advise!

    there's hardly any nice/mannered/polite guys in england so next time you see one definitely go up to them, they'll love it.

    My friend studied abroad and said all the men were like this. They all waited for the women to make the first move. It's not that they're shy although some might be, it's that they just let the ladies make the first move even though the ladies rarely do...LOL

    Actually, most boys in England are 'chavs', and they're everywhere. They listen to rap/hip-hop music, walk around in gangs and will start a fight with anything that moves!

      There are lots who have been brought up properly have good manners and. (Though this type have often had little social interaction and are thus often shy).

      btw I would consider myself a shy, well mannered, English boy.

    I'm from cambridge, and I have no idea what you're tslking sbout. I dont think english men are remotely shy about approaching women? or at least in my experience? I dunno if you're talking about people from the university or what but..yeah I dunno what you're talking about lol

    i would simply adore a cup of earl grey old chum! just a spot of milk!
    anyway, can i have your email address please annonymous russian girl? it is the english mans curse, to be too polite or maybe just too modest to say something to a beautiful woman. its not all english guys but a lot. maybe we think we're not good enough. or maybe its the fact that english girls usually will make it pretty obvious to a guy if she wants him. we should all just man up a bit and take it on the chin if we get knocked back.

    Maybe they were interested but when they got close enough they realized you smelled like foot and ass. Haha just kidding...it was probably manners...or jet a culture clash.

    Ofc it's normal, guys that are afraid to take first step is because they don't have that self confidence, there are lots of books about pickup which teach how to behaive near a woman. Moslt comes from too much thoughts of what she will say, maybe she doesn't like me etc... So it doesn't say anything about then except that they are just afraid to make the first step because of too much thoughts.

    That is normal English men have manners , well at least the ones ive come across. Make sure you choose someone based on their personality and good qualities rather than their ethnicity.Good Luck. xx
