You should feel complimented and keep writing. You could be better than Poe. Even if your teacher called you a psychotic little shit who needs help, you should still keep writing. Keep feeding that talent and don't let it die.

I knew someone like that, only he wrote morbid stories to confuse and shock his teachers. a lot of the stuff he wrote, if it was written today by a kid, would immediatly result in expulsion, a police investigation, and a note for psychiatric help.
