No the OP is most likely not a joke. Many women and fan-boys are in love with serial killers. Some of the most renowned and cruelest killers have had fan mail from the other gender. All saying they would marry them. This goes for female and male killers/rapists. This sort of stuff does not really make sense but it seems to be incredibly common.
