    How old is this "kid"? If he is 18 or so then maybe it's time for sonny boy to get to steppin'. I joined the navy when I was 17. And this was during the Vietnam war! Maybe his biggest problem is you. Yeah YOU. He sounds like a spoiled brat. He sounds too old to take having a relatively free roof over his head for granted. Maybe it's time to let go mommy. And what part does daddy play in this disfunctional scenario? Time to let go mommy. Tough love is very often the best love one can give one's child. Time to let go mommy before you totally freak the fuck out.

      The op is the one who sounds like an abusive brat. I wish I could give the teenager a big hug , with a mother like this , I am sure he could use some.

        You too? Well you are wrong. This kid needs a stiff boot in his lazy spoiled ass. A stint in the US military is what sonny boy needs. For his own good. A big hug? Let him hug a big green duffle bag as he leaves boot camp. Enough with the cuddle bull crap already. >:-(
