I agree, this op sounds like my sister when she was 16 and 17. I always loved and respected my mother. Sure, when I was 17 and I really wanted to go to a party that I had plans to go to with my buddies and if she tried to stop me, I did argue pretty heavily. But, I'd always make it a point to apologize to her the next day (once my hangover was almost gone). But since I became an adult, I always followed the commandment honor thy mother and father
