Pollyanna, don't you think? Most, if not all of the members of any group are interested in the activity, not the people. They certainly don't expect the group to be a single site, and will reject any newcomer that even smells of desperation. Don't expect them to welcome you with open arms, hugs, and kisses that will satisfy your longing to be loved. If you do, you will surely be disappointed. I think the massage idea is great! Meet people. Find someone where you share interests (other than sex). Make friends.
I suggest that you join an activity group (or several) in your area that does things that you are interested in, or potentially interested in.
Enjoy doing things with the group.... there will be other single people there looking for more friends as well.
