Is it normal to be jealous that guys don't hit on me?

I've always been told by my family and female friends that I'm pretty, and sometimes I think am. I have a boyfriend and he tells me all the time how he thinks I'm beautiful and sexy, and all those sweet things. Well I had to approach him to start our relationship, and after three years together I've finally noticed that never before has a guy ever approached me and tried hitting on me. It's not that I want to leave my current boyfriend or cheat on him, but I do get jealous of all my friends who talk about "some creep who was trying to pick them up". I guess I just want to get the same sort of attention they do. I don't think I'm ugly or anything. I'm 5 and a half feet, wear a size 10 and a c cup, and I have short hair and glasses. My face is pretty clean and I've been called a paragon of a healthy girl. basically I don't look any more or less deformed than my friends.

Is It Normal?
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • okay, this is what I do when i feel a little neglected lol. 1. pick a store in walking distance -preferably next to a busy street. 2. put your most form fitting outfit on. 3.walk down the street. 4.Keep your head held high, hips swaying slightly, one foot directly in front of the other -MUST LOOK NATURAL!!- Arms slightly swaying with each step. 5. When the honks start, DO NOT LOOK INTERESTED, don't even pay attention! lmao! It's a confidence booster shot it really is! And when you get better at it, you can throw in certain gesters, like moving the hair outta your face, shading your eyes ect. ~^_^~ thanks for reading my retarded rambles lol

  • I have a female friend who is luminously beautiful. Although she has a steady boyfriend now, for the longest time, men would ignore her because they couldn't imagine they'd have the slightest chance.

  • I never get approached by guys either. Well when I was 23 some guy asked me to dance but I said no because hell will freeze over before I ever dance and anyway the guy was probably drunk because I could smell alcohol on his breath when he spoke so he was probably looking at me through beer goggles but other than that time men never hit on me.

I hate my older sister because men fawn over her but never give me a second glance. I wish I could be in her shoes then I'd know what it feels to attract mens attention.

    • Yeah, it is. She's studying with us now so I have lunch with her a lot. No-one ever hits on her even though she's patently stunning. Although I'm fairly sturdily built; maybe men think I'll lay them out if they try anything on.
