Ok so my best friend is really confident around other people and especially around guys. However she says that she's introverted and has low self-esteem. It's completely not true an I think that she's just trying to get sympathy. Even though I know this i can't not be jealous of the way she acts. Is this normal?

    If by confident you mean flirty, then that often stems from low self esteem.

    maybe she's actually going through a depressing time in her life and you shoud consider being her FRIEND before anything else that isas stupid as wanting her looks..

    Apparently I do this...thing is, I'm really shy, but I relax pretty quickly...The other day I went from refusing to ask a question, to asking about a million.
    I also have low self esteem, and feel like I need other people to accept me. It makes me tense, and I just babble on, trying to make people laugh and like me.
    Her confidence could be low, but she could be acting like she is confident...but thinking about how awkward she feels, so dont be too harsh

    Same here, there's a guy I know who's really social and can carry on a convo with anyone. Though he tells me he's shy and not good at talking with girls (even though I've seen him doing it fine). It kind of ticks me off as well.
