I apologize, I guess I just wanted to make the question stand out a little bit. It's just that around here, race and religion are basically grouped together. In that sense, I'm a product of my environment. Strangers are ALWAYS surprised when I tell them I'm not a muslim and vice versa.
Yeah, unfortunately people like to group race, religion, culture, spirituality and so on together. It is frustrating, I agree.
But there are quite a lot of people like you who don't really believe in the claims of a religion.
People who are religious in name only or not religious at all.
People who would like to be left alone instead of being silently coerced into following pointless traditions.
I think, if you guys all knew each other, or at least knew about each other's existence, it would begin to remove the stigma from these disaffiliation processes.
Is it normal to be jealous of white people as a muslim?
