Is it normal to be jealous of white people as a muslim?

  • Muslim - follower of a set of ideas, namely religion.
    White people - race.

You know there are white muslims as well, right?

But yeah, unless people learn to outgrow their religiosity their progress will be impeded, both on an individual and on a collective, social level.

    • I apologize, I guess I just wanted to make the question stand out a little bit. It's just that around here, race and religion are basically grouped together. In that sense, I'm a product of my environment. Strangers are ALWAYS surprised when I tell them I'm not a muslim and vice versa.

      • Yeah, unfortunately people like to group race, religion, culture, spirituality and so on together. It is frustrating, I agree.

But there are quite a lot of people like you who don't really believe in the claims of a religion.
People who are religious in name only or not religious at all.
People who would like to be left alone instead of being silently coerced into following pointless traditions.
I think, if you guys all knew each other, or at least knew about each other's existence, it would begin to remove the stigma from these disaffiliation processes.
