I understand it is very hard to live in a way that does not make you happy... Some religions are more open than yours, and allow those things, that I consider a way of living, but never into the extremes.
If you like a lot your muslim family and friends, then I guess it will be very hard for you to go against the principles of your religion.
If you drink alcohol or get intimate with someone will you be consider a not-muslim?
Yes drinking and intimacy are frowned upon. But it's not just sex and alcohol. It's so much more. Muslims are expected to think like all other muslims. There is no room for self-expression, just the mindless obedience to ''God''.
