Is it normal to be jealous of stevie nicks' voice?

So, for some reason, I am a little jealous of Stevie Nicks, because my boyfriend says she has the sexiest voice. Now, I'm not jealous of him thinking that any other women are sexy, and we are in a fairly open relationship, but for some reason it bothers me when he says that. He says he likes my voice too, but I honestly think it's just a contextual attraction; he often laughs if I'm singing, or turns to the radio way down if I'm singing along. He also likes me to sing to him over the phone if we're going to bed. But he also pokes fun of my voice. I know that I sound like a third grader when I talk sometimes, so I'm a little self-conscious.

I guess what bugs me most is, music is very important to him, and I can never match up to Stevie. I've got nothing against the woman; I like Fleetwood Mac.

Tell me, is it normal to be jealous like this?

Stevie is a proffesional singer who has sung for damn near 50 years. Its unfair to consider judging you to somebody of that level. He has good taste in fairness but shes never going to sing down the phone to a critical bastard like him. Stevie herself once said and i quote " the jaded people really dont matter to me and they shouldnt to anybody". Her 8th july 2015 quote at the hydro has stuck with me. Hes a dick in my opinion. Voice is voice and be ause you cant be like her is no reason to judge or put you down! Go hon. Scream over that radio.

What singer wouldn't be jealous of her voice?

its normal, I can pick a million features from a million different people that are better than mine

I don't know why he'd poke fun at your voice, when its obvious he enjoys it - if someone around me is singing and I don't like it I turn the music up, not down. How about ask him? it seems a little contradictory and ambiguous but if he asks you to sing and turns the radio down to hear you.... I'm not sure

at the end of the day your features are yours, you have to live with them, make yourself comfortable, there better things to stress over.

I think it's silly to be jealous about it. He just likes the sound of her voice, it's not like he's obsessed with the woman (right? hopefully...?) To be honest, I love Fleetwood Mac but Stevie Nicks' voice is pretty bad, in my opinion. Only reason she joined the band was because Lindsay Buckingham kinda said the two of them were a package deal.

Oh, I know it's silly. Don't get me wrong, I know it's irrational. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Usually only when I'm hormonal do I get jealous and irritated about really stupid things. Things that would never normally bother me. Sometimes things just rub you the wrong way! I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe making a joke out of it will make you feel better; the fact that you can never live up to Stevie and that you'll be forced to kick her ass should you ever meet on the street :)
