Is it normal to be insecure about my race

Unfortunately it's still a problem for stupid people, They can only judge a person by the color of their skin. Not what constitutes them as a human being and a person.

Generally my response to racism, is to take away the racism and by being self-deprecating.

Like my example if I'm half Japanese, so when I inevitably get the small penis joke. I just take this shit and run with it, oh hell yeah dude like a TicTac in fact it's probably more of an innie then an outie.

Yes! You are normal. I am insecure about being a filipino, a race with such confused heritage, no originality, false sense of pride and a disgusting popular and political culture. So I am not surprised to see other hate posts towards my race. I have not been bullied myself, so you have better reason to be insecure than me. Just don't take them personally! It's the internet, what else can we expect? :) I am actually grateful to arab countries for giving us work opportunities, otherwise we would all have rotted in this joke of a country and government.

I used to be rather insecure about my race, back when I was a wigger. Luckily, I didn't get beat up or accused of being a terrorist because of my race, though people made fun of my dancing skills (or lack thereof) and my B-Ball game was looking pretty shabby.

You can ignore the folks who whine that you should ignore racism; racism has totally never killed anyone before, and all that work the Civil Rights Movement put in was a waste of time, what with all the separate water-fountains and lynchings you see these days [sarcasm].

Just note that people are stupid and love having someone to point the finger at. Arabs are today's bogeymen, particularly amongst white, right-wing Americans. If they bitch that your race makes you a terrorist, tell them to fuck off to whatever white hate-group/terrorist organization you can think of (KKK, Nazi/Neo-Nazi groups, far-right white nationalist groups, etc.). Assuming they're not white, there are terrorists of virtually every race and nationality.

I am very insecure about my ethnicity as a Hispanic. Which actually is just a type of culture. Regardless I'm pale as fuck and whenever I go to a very high end stores in Beverly hills and areas like that. I try to play it "White" as possible until someone as about my ethnicity. Lots of white people either think I'm white at times. But I can't fool anyone when I'm with a group of friends. Because they are hispanics in them.

Its good to be insecure because it is all about survival of the fittest.

Don't listen to those imbeciles. Arabs already established advanced medicine, art, architecture, mathematics, science and literature, while the Western Europeans were defecating on their own streets during the Middle Ages. YOU BELONG TO A GREAT PEOPLE. Be proud of it! Whether people realize it or not, Europe owes much to the Arabs and Persians. We wouldn't have had the renaissance without them!

I'm sorry, you have to listen to it all, but we all do. White people have kkk jokes, black people get lazy nigger jokes, Japanese and Chinese get little dick jokes, and so forth and so on.

The color of your skin, who you love, who you pray to, and why, are all things other people will never understand. A person might, but people as a whole.. . Nope. We can hope for better out of each other but the sad fact is we seldom get it.

So keep your head up and know your not alone.

A lot of people say racist things around me because I look all white but a lot of my family are Mexican. It gets tiresome real quick.
On the other hand you shouldn't feel bad for what you are everyone should try and be at peace with yourself.

The World is really Sad. i know someone that was arab and they told me how kids use to mess with them and fight them being able to speak another langue is super cool and arabs are really friendly peoples once you get to know them... . Just keep your head up and pay stupidity no mind. They don't understand. Small minded people judge everybody before knowing.. . But there will be a time when even those who tend to bully you ask for your help for something. Treat them right. Don't become them

First of all, you can't just say "no stupid comments" on the internet and expect everyone to keep their opinions to themselves. Second of all, racism is not going anywhere, so the best way to deal would to be to completely ignore it.

Racism and discrimination is here to stay for eternity. So you may as well make your peace with it. Saying that you get "total racist comments" on the internet is like complaining that you get "total wetness" when you jump in the sea.

People say anything on the internet to be funny, doesn't necessarily mean they mean it. And even if they mean it, who the fuck cares? Why are you insecure? Do you have a little terrorist inside you that the label bothers you so much? The bigger deal you make it the bigger it will be.

I have a wide range of friends and with the best of them jokes have little boundaries, we make fun of each other's religious and racial stereotypes. Years ago I joked with a coworker I had who was Mexican, "Whenever I walk you to your car I'm scared you'll pull a knife on me." And that chick had an equally witty remark saying something like, "And I like knowing you're walking me to it because then I know my car won't explode"

Bottom line: Suck it up. Learn to laugh at things like racism that dont deserve to be taken seriously.

Im biracial and I absolutely hate the fact that people want to erase part of what im mixed with and they just want to label me as "black"....i absolutely hate that. Im a light brown color, but besides that, nothing about me is black at all, I dont like rap music, i dont find black men attractive at all, actually my last ex-boyfriend is Arab, he was a male model, gorgeous guy, but super stuck on himself. Anyways, its totally normal to be insecure about your race. I feel super uncomfortable whenever race is brought up, I hate stereotypes, and I hate when someone makes a smart ass comment about what they think i do or dont like simply based off of my race. I feel embarrassed whenever anything involving blacks is brought up and i hate that im associated with that race at all.
