I know exactly what you mean, people seem to think it's so weird to like more than one genre of music and there's so much stigma surrounding certain music. I mean seriously? It's just music, and everyone's different. People need to grow up and accept this.
I like lots of different rock, but I also listen to rave/dance, drum n bass, a bit of dubstep, rap, video game music, film soundtrack, some classical, heavy metal (not the satanic death metal crap, I mean older metal) and probably loads more that I can't even think of.
I can be very defensive about music, I won't let anyone touch my ipod. But at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what other people think. YOU enjoy YOUR music, so what's the problem? It show's you're a mature, open-minded individual and a true music fan.
Is it normal to be insecure about my music tastes?
