Haha, nah I'd say it's normal. When people ask me what my favourite genre of music is I honestly couldn't tell them, I love too many. But if I say one particular genre, they will assume that's the only music I listen to.
I'm glad you're as open-minded as me, I hate it when people become almost obsessed with one genre of music, and suddenly they "hate" every other kind of music. Music gets very boring when it's the same genre all the time.
I wouldn't get too insecure about it, most people don't mind you liking other music, just teenage idiots feel very.. passionate about their music tastes. Not saying all teens are idiots!! Just most of them. Boys especially.
