Personally, I think it's normal...?
Same insecurity happens on my part to where I usually just end up passing the iPooood to someone else so they can choose something they like (nothing on my iPoooood I don't like, win/win).
I relate to my music very closely though and when someone else doesn't like it, the insecurity slowly creeps in...
