That only happens to me every couple of years. I put one of mine into a story –- no, not that type!!
Even if she does feel the same way, which is unlikely, she can't do anything about it because she's not allowed. Perhaps you could change to a different course. I changed mine halfway through to do some more creative stuff but I hated it – the course I did beforehand, not the creative one. She might leave soon. Problem solved.
As for your friends, I’d say don't tell them; you're just setting yourself up for teasing.
