You don't have to be gorgeous to get a guy's attention. Maybe buy a cute new outfit or makeup or something though. It will boost your confidence and confidence is ALWAYS key. Even if you suck as a person, if you are confident in yourself, people will notice you and think that you are cooler than you really are. :)
