Instead of being torn between bursting with love secretly, or gushing all over her with what may turn out to be unrequited affection - try some incremental steps. Like going out on dates - a movie, dinner, play - whatever. You get to know her and she you. Thats the place to start - with safe normal activity that may lead to courtship and if not will determine gently if there is a future at all in the romance department. Dumping all your pent-up amour on some poor unsuspecting girl all at once will most likely overwhelm and scare her away. Tact.
