  • I've made mistakes like this before. True, they should get their facts straight before teaching kids faulty knowledge, but by you calling them out on this, you have inadvertently made an enemy out of the teacher. You have embarrassed the teacher and probably have even hurt their pride. What you intended as a form of helpfulness, they have interpreted as a form of impudence. There is not much that I know of that can be used to help against teacher's like this. You could however, perhaps, send an anonymous letter of complaint.

When I was younger, even if I didn't correct the teacher, there were some people that no matter what I did, they always seemed to have something against me. I think that in a situation like that, it would be best to try to blend in with the environment and do your best not to get on that person's bad side. Or, you could do what I did as a kid, which was to sometimes tell this person's behavior on to my mother. Most parents will probably end up taking this up with the teacher or whoever is the boss.
