  • A similar thing happened to me a long time ago. You can always do a simple "reality check":

    - Ask yourself "Am I in a dream?" and look around you to find odd things and/or behaviour.
    - Try counting your fingers, breathing while pinching your nose, flying, etc...

    If, one day, you do this and you're in a dream, you'll be aware you're in a dream and you can do pretty much anything: you'll have a lucid dream. That will help you distinguish between dream and reality.
