  • how is it you're good at those things again? you just said in so many words you don't like sports, arts and music. are you a star player in your team? are you painting masterpieces the world has yet to see? do excel at playing any instrument or have the voice of a nightingale but just haven't made it in the industry yet? i fail to understand your point

    • As in good at the sport, good at art and likes listening to music. Yet hating art museums, not watching that sport on tv, and not an expert at music artist trivia. Like some people like bands and know the people in the band the history and name of all the albums and songs.

      • So how then can you become great at something you barely have interest in?

        • You think being good at something means you know everything about it? Its skill and talent. Sports is muscle memory. If you practice something for so many years you get better at it.

Some people are naturally going to do better possibly since they are taller or have traits more valued in that field. However practice has no correlation with the trivia. You believe you can suddenly be great at things by simply watching it on tv?

Watching people play something does not make you an athlete, simply watching someone make art does not mean you can do it. Watching a magician does not mean you know his tricks.

If it was really so simple everyone would be able to do this. If it was so easy we would not have competitions would we? You think gymnasts in the Olympics got there by doing nothing but watching other people? They practiced all the time.

Its skill, talent and practice. Doing something is not the same as watching something. Observation does not magically give you abilities. Its silly you think so.

          • "IIN to be good at something and know nothing
about it" this really sounds stupid I should have told you this from the start, go find somewhere else to be arrogant

            • Well sorry I am not a expert like you think you are. You are the one coming off as arrogant. I really do not care how much you want to brag. Your arrogance does not impress me. Please get over yourself.

          • i can agree to the sports on that but not the arts as they are completely different in their essence. one of the things every artist, at least a painter, HAS to do in the later years of his/her studies is the replica so at least then he/she has to study other artists, their strokes, movements even so to get just the right effect. in my opinion you cannot create great art on any media, be it fine arts, performing arts, literature, film, etc. without massive exposure to other artists' works... if you look around every musician mentions the artists that influences their work, for instance. i mean, how can you produce something you DON'T KNOW anything of? i'd be interested to know what your take is

            • Its called art class and you realize artists have created new different ways of art. So you just experiment and figure out what works. That is if you truly care about art and like doing it. Its not like its impossible and you realize art is mandatory in school right?

      • the music part seems pretty normal to me. the other two not so much. how good are you at the sport and art? have you gotten scholarships for either? awards? sold works of art? reviews from accredited specialists? what are your criteria for judging your talents?

        • Yes I have gotten awards. not for the music thing though. I did play an instrument before but I was only intermediate level so not great at it.

            • Clay, sketching, paint(need more practice on that though). Top artist in the country I won top 10. I have not found any international contest. I was in a few contests but that was the biggest one I ever entered in.
