Is it normal to be gay or bisexual while being a catholic?

Just wondering. I do not need 30 characters.

Is It Normal?

  • It's by no means all that uncommon for it to happen, although in my experience it generally drives people away from the church. Being told how you want to live is inherently wrong doesn't sit well with many people.

  • You can't say you're a catholic if you do not behave like one.

    • Explain where in Catholic doctrine it says you can't be bi or homosexual.

It is the action that is forbidden, not the orientation.

      • The Catholic Church does not preach against being gay. They preach against any sexual act other than unprotected penis to vagina sex.

  • Why not? Half the priests are gay.

  • if your gay dont get married and if your bi marry the opposite sex

  • We know there are at least 7% gays in every society, but think about what your religion would say to you if you came out. This in the light of the monuments us hypocrisy of institutionalized child abuse.

  • Yes it's normal. I used to go to Sunday school, I don't remember a lot but the teachers never said being gay is bad.

  • We do not need division in society.

You have used a term which divides yourself and others from other people who also believe in the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. This term also divides yourself and others, from people who have other religious beliefs, as well as from people who are not religious.
The use of this term might be offensive to some people, whether they are religious, or whether they are not religious.

Why are you creating division in society?

    • Remarking upon already present divisions doesn't create divisions, it acknowledges them.

On another note, would you prefer there was no division within society? I honestly think that would be extraordinarily boring.

      • That's right, blame everyone else (many of whom have been long since dead), but yourself, for creating these divisions.
Ignoramus, YOU have these thoughts, ideas or concepts in YOUR mind. YOU then used these to spread this around the world, thoughtlessly, by inputting the keys on YOUR computer.

        YOU are utterly offensive.

Yes, I and many other people around the world, would prefer that you keep these divisions to yourself. I'm terribly sorry, if your life is boring, without these divisions. This is not anyone's fault, but your own.

        • To fix a problem in society, we have to admit that there is a problem in the first place. It's absolutely fundamental to ever correcting anything.

Maybe I should rephrase my point with divisions in society. I think society may become much less interesting if the diversity within it disappears. I'm not necessarily referring to religion at all but diversity in thought.
