Is it normal to be friends with your ex ?

I'm friends with many of my exes. As long as there are no hard feeling, I see no reason why you can't be friends.

of course you know them better than anyone else i never got how you can love someone for a year or more and then all of a sudden hate them. although it's rare it's not weird i also have a few exes i'd rather never see again

I think it is, after all common grounds and similarities are likely what attracted you initially, just because you broke up doesn't mean those things changed right? Its fortunate to get to stay friends with an ex. Just be sure the feelings are mutual for you both as far as the "just friends" thing goes i'd say.

Everyone i've known whos stays friends with ex's seems to be flaky and a suck-up type person. And it always causes problems. Not today, not tomorrow, but one day. Sex will ALWAYS get in the way....unless your queer...no..wait...even if your queer.

I'm still good friends with my ex. We hung out yesterday even. We were friends before we got together and have remained friends after all these years.
