Is it normal to be financially supported through college?

  • I know people in the same boat as you, they gave no thought at all before having a child even though they had no savings, don't own their own own house or have careers, they had a child anyways because that is what they wanted. Love is not enough in this day and age, especially in the USA where it costs a lot to have a decent education.

    • Actually, I planned on having no children. And had i waited until I became financially stable, I probably would have never had children. My daughter was a gift of fate and from God. It would have been more stupid of me to not have her than to have her now, while my life isn't perfect. I'm not advising this to everyone. I was super lucky and blessed to have family that can give her everything she needs when i cannot. I know I will be able to save for her later on because it is my number one priority to give hey everything she needs. Honestly, I don't think you know anyone who is like me.

      • Sorry I wasn't judging you or anything. I just happen to know quite a few people who definitely should have thought twice before having kids.
