Is it normal to be excessively paranoid?

  • I'm very paranoid too. It's NOT normal. I go to counseling for it, trust me it's not normal.

    My problem was, she put me on some meds and they changed my thinking and I didn't like it, I actually preferred being paranoid. I felt like I gave up control when I started thinking differently and being less paranoid.

    The solution seems to be to talk about it. By doing so, you say out loud some things that tend to sound silly when you just 'say it'. That allows you to re-evaluate what's necessary (for you personally) and what you could maybe 'let go of'. That way, you're in control, you decide what you're able to do differently, instead of a drug changing EVERYTHING about how you think-which is scary for a lot of people.
