Is it normal to be embarrassed about this?

Hi guys,
So one of my good friends wears shoes that I personally find very attractive on her. Since the weather has been warming up, she's been wearing more flats, so I can say that her feet look great in them. Do to certain factors, see username, I have to ask her if I can "look" at her shoes. I've known this friend for about 6 months now, so I'd say we're fairly close. There is no romantic interest though, nor is my attraction to her shoes/feet sexual. It's more of a "wow! Your shoes look great, and your feet look great in them" kind of situations. Now that I think about it though, I wouldn't mind giving her a foot rub if she asked for it, but that's as far as I would go.
How would I tell her about this without being embarrassed, and coming across as weird or perverted? I almost told her today, but I just couldn't do it in the end.
Is this normal?

    How are your feet ?
    Maybe your wishing your feet looked as good as good as hers so you've become a little attracted to them .

    I was kind of thinking it was a fetish too, maybe you just have a liking to good looking feet(: nothing wrong with that.
