Is it normal to be dizzy a lot and have head numbness?

A few months ago, I had a few isolated issues that sort of worried me. Once, I was studying and suddenly my head went very numb and I felt panicked. It lasted for several minutes and then abruptly went away. Around the same time, I was walking normally and all of a sudden started walking to the right and had to forcefully correct this to walk straight. The same thing happened again while I was jogging. Both lasted for less than one minute.

Recently, I have been getting dizzy a lot, especially when I get cold. I don't know if these things are related or if there might be a problem, but my girlfriend convinced me to ask someone.
This hasn't always been the case, so I'm a little concerned. Is this just part of getting older (I'm 25 Male)?

I would be more concerned, but I'm in pretty good health otherwise. Also, I went cliff jumping into a lake this past summer really often, which might have brought this on. Any advice would be helpful (I'm anticipating 450 "go see a doctor", so anything else would be especially appreciated)

Is It Normal?

  • When I had similar symptoms they were diagnosed as panic attacks - totally harmless but very frightening at the time. And strangely they seemed to come on when I was relaxed. Google it for more information but of course see your doctor :)

  • Does your vision start to blur at all? I get the same things you have described and I did see a doctor. They found out I have diabeties, which was strange cause I'm in good health, eat well and exercise. Also, I'd get dizzy and panic and that was due to panic attacks. I take pills to control them now, but they used to come on for no reason.
I know you don't want to see a dr. You may have to though. Best of luck to you!

  • You're even dumber than most. You already know that the intelligent thing to do is to 'See a doctor' but instead you want to here you don't have to because you're lazy or retarded or something. Anyways I won't tell you see a doctor (as per your request) instead I'm just say "You're an idiot"
