Within reason. If exterminating the rats was the ONLY possible method of removing them, I would consider it an unpleasant necessity, but that's not the case, as there's also a wide variety of humane options. Likewise, if the ONLY reasonable way to deal with a bug infestation was to exterminate them, I would have no problem with someone choosing to do so.
I don't drink milk directly. Usually only when it's an ingredient in something else. Even though I agree with the philosophy of vegans, I couldn't live as a vegan because even living as a vegetarian is somewhat difficult when 90% of the dishes at every restaurant contain meat, and the remainder that are vegetarian dishes usually contain a dairy product.
So you're saying you eat meat when eating out? You're not being very clear.
I have vegan friends who live in rural SC and they manage to live according to their ethics with ease. I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, in a country such as the US, it's "too difficult" to do something you're supposedly so passionate about. Particularly if you're gonna chuck a tanty online about someone poisoning rats.
IIN to be disgusted by people who remove rats with poison?

Was vegan for a couple of years. Switched to vegetarianism because it's the lesser of 2 evils, and veganism is too difficult a lifestyle in my area.
