You really shouldn't make judgements about anything you don't know anything about. It's extremely ignorant.
I have a friend who is a witness and it was honestly two years before I found out. And she happened to be one of the coolest chicks I ever met. Witnesses are stereotyped to death and most of those stereotypes are wrong. My friend was nothing like I would have expected a witness to be like.
Witnesses are just another religion. They believe almost exactly the way a Christian does with only a couple minor differences. And it is part of their religion to witness to others. They don't always like doing it, but they do because it's dictated as such. There is nothing cult-like about them.
