  • Sometimes a career finds you. Like you, I'm good with languages. But in my case, it's computer languages. I've always liked computers and computer games, I have an artistic, musical, and generally creative side, so the career which suggested itself was a games programmer. I did it, got stuff published, got good reviews, and then stopped doing it.

What I do now is very different and it requires different skills (some of which were always there but latent, like tact, and some I've had to develop, like political acumen) but it still suits the kind of person I am.

For you too, obvious college and career paths suggest themselves. If you like working with people, you could be a translator. If you like literature, you could translate books. If you want to travel, you could work for your countries' embassy in another country whose language you speak, or you could teach English as a foreign language.

But you may go the same route as me and find that your love of languages becomes a secondary benefit to whatever career suggests itself to you. Either way, don't worry about it. Speaking five languages at your age is already very impressive and you obviously have a talent. That can be easily turned into a career.
