I wouldn't say it's abnormal, I'm the black sheep of my family too. Everyones conservative either Protestant or catholic, most of them are yuppies, one of my cousins is trying to become a teenage pop star. x.x yet I somehow ended up liking alternative fashion and body mod, I'm agnostic, pro choice, and my politics and philosophy differs from my family's in almost every way. I just play nice without compromising around my family and they seem to accept me, on the surface at least.
