Is it normal to be called hippie and avatar?

I think I'm too old to relate because I can't imagine how people are calling you on this unless you're one of those obnoxious people who want to share their dietary habbits with everyone like it is an obligation. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't think the intake of meat is unnatural. Only the way our society produces meat is unnatural. I care about the environment and nobody has given me shit about that.

I don't really get how the whole avatar thing gets messed up in this, because the movie is about enlarged stereotypes about US killing nature and only caring about natural rescources (oil=unobtainium). Everyone above IQ70 will side with the avatars for choosing ecology above moneygain.

As a european I amagine being called a hippie is something bad in the US...then again as a european i'm used to americans calling us hipsters by default even though we are average people in our own culture/country and we don't care for the retarded stereotyping.

The fact that your height/breast-height gets up in this argument confuses me even more. The only thing I know about height difference between a guy/girl is that it might make 69 position a bit awkward when the difference is above 8-10 centimeters. But that's just from personal experience (yes it seems nature has intended that guys are a little taller then girls, but thats not always the case).

Also, learn to hug. It's the one skill I have taught many different people because it's a worthwhile skill, and it has nothing to do with your height. Our society this day and age has too many people who stick their heads up their arse. Learning how to give a loving hug to a friend without it being awkward is a valuable skill to have.

Do your friends not care about the planet? It sounds like good natured teasing. I frequently get called a hippie and my size is constantly being used as a joke. For the most part, these comments come from friends or even myself.

You can still hug. Hugs are great. A female friend of mine is close to six feet and she does this weird squatting posture when she hugs me. She does it with many of her friends as she is much taller than most her female friends. I imagine she does it with shorter males too. I know I appreciate the effort. Think about how you would hug a child. Meeting them on their level make for a more comfortable embrace.

There is not enough tall girls in the world today! Being tall myself, it's great to be with a tall pretty girl, especially a added bonus when she can think for herself like you! Don't worry, if they didn't like you they would not aggravate you!

Jealousy, I admire you for being a vegan, I'm a vegetarian and would one day like to make the change to vegan. Be proud you have respect for the planet, and your height!

Hmm... I don't think it's very normal. Stuff like this happens but that doesn't make it right. You could 1. Tell them off but it might this worse, 2. Distance yourself from these people or 3. Keep the fact that you are a hippy and vegetarian to yourself.

While I myself disliked the avatar its not something I would make fun of someone for enjoying. Its also rude to make fun of people for being tall. Just ignore them they sound immature. This is something a 12 year old would do. You should ignore anyone who insists on acting like children.

People will find any excuse to bully others. If they didn't tease you about being vegan or being tall, then they'd find something else to bully you about.
