Is it normal to be blown away by something ridiculous.

Occasionally Ill just be thinking to my self and then I think of the idea of another person besides me existing and it just blows my mind. I almost feel overwhelmed by the sensation. But sometimes it just seem so insane to me that other people actually have their own thoughts and do their own things and exist. Its kind of feels like the only people that exist are people I can see and once I cant see them anymore they just don't exist.

Is It Normal?

  • I know exactly what you mean. It's like, the realization that your consciousness is just one amongst BILLIONS. Crazy. And the thought that another person has an entirely different awareness, and an entirely different life from you. And in their head, the world revolves around them, the way yours revolves around you in your head. It's like the world is being pulled in so many directions at once. Like the constant barrage of human emotion would be enough to disturb the earth's orbit.

Sorry, I kinda took this topic and ran with it.

  • They say babies think you're gone if you cover your face with your hands. Maybe you're suffering from some kind of babyosis? xD xD xD

  • of course everyone else exists.. if you were the only one, and you exist in a physical body, then how can everyone else you see in a physical body NOT be there too? either everyone's real, or nothing is.

  • I think this is the reason why humans have such a hard time seeing different points of view from other people.

  • I have had those same exact thoughts. I wonder how common it is.

  • Maybe you're just developmentally delayed.

  • It is overwhelming. That's why I just assume nobody else exists.
